Fries oh fries

Wednesday, April 3, 2013

Hunny buns and I decided to go for a long bike ride with a group of cyclists that we used to ride with.  Since I am always the slow one, I brought up the rear as usual. During our ride through Simi Valley, we stopped at a mcdonald's for a water stop. I wanted fries so badly! But since I need to watch my girlish figure, I refrained. But boy oh boy, all the guys started to order mcdonald's breakfast meals!!! Say what...?? The guys gobbled up their hamburgers whilr I drooled watching them. They apparently weren't watching their weight. Not fair I tell you!

3am Lovin'

Sunday, November 4, 2012

Hunnybuns and I woke up to a repeated thumping in the walls at 3 in the morning last night. We could also hear a faint moaning of a woman.  It was funny at first but we could NOT go back to sleep! Since we were both up, R and I decided to get our own lovin' on to keep our neighbors up.  Sorry, neighbor.

Needless to say, R and I have a very "healthy" love life. Being with the person the God chose as your life partner makes it easy to keep the spark alive.

Gorgeous Carmel

Monday, October 22, 2012

Gorgeous, just gorgeous was the view over the weekend at Carmel. It was a spectacular, picturesque view of the coastline last weekend. After the wedding ceremony, dinner, cake, and mingling with the guests, hunnybuns and I snuggled under the stars next to the heat lamps and a blanket and counted the shooting stars until the wee hours of the morning. Since we were spending the night at the wedding venue and had the luxury of sleeping in the next day, we retreated to a cozy corner where we had privacy to talk about stories of beating up our siblings when we were little kids, meeting each other's parents, what we thought our future kids would look like, engaging in several makeup sessions. :), cracking jokes about our insecurities, making out some more, and finally ended the night with me jumping his bones. Ha ha. Another memorable weekend that I will forever remember.

Just another walk

Sunday, October 21, 2012

You can't beat the weather in southern California. It was supposed to rain today but it never came. Hunnybuns and I took a nice walk around the lake. It finally had cooled down to a very pleasant 70 degrees. When we first started walking, it looked like it was going to rain, but 30 minutes later, blue skies. It still feels like summer but its end of October. Maybe we will skip winter altogether? That would be nice. On our walk, I saw the best looking dog ever. White, flowy hair all over. Her name was Willow. Definitely fit the dog.

Hunnybuns doesn't like to hold hands. He's not so into public displays of affection. Little by little, I've been able to break down that wall. I grabbed his pinky as we walked today and he didn't seem to mind that. :)

Little Miss Piggy

Tuesday, October 16, 2012

Hunnybuns and I spent the weekend in Carmel for a wedding. Since I was part of the bridal parry, we drove up early. But boy of boy, there went my diet. Feast of cheeses, breads, and meats 3 times a day! I gained 3 pounds of blubber on my tummy and bootie! :(  I think he appreciated the extra curves on my chest but I did not. So for the next 3 weeks, I will be on a vegan diet to lose the extra fat and get back into shape. This is what I ate for lunch today - avocado chickpeas sandwich - which left me craving chocolate.   Other than the blubber gain, the weekend was great! Carmel is such a romantic place - it was perfect weather and a great place to get married. Thee fog stayed at bay and provided a beautiful venue with gorgeous views.

Nice lunch time walk +brownie

Friday, October 5, 2012

Hunnybuns surprised me with a mini brownie from my favorite french bakery today! Woohoo!  I wolfed it down in 1 gulp then we went for a lunch time stroll through old town for an hour. Such a nice relaxing break from the hectic workday that I was having. I wanted to go home with him but still had another 4 hours to work. We made plans for a romantic dinner in Malibu at Geoffrey's later which should be amazing. Can't wait for the daily grind to be over.

I had a dream...

Saturday, September 29, 2012

I had a dream last night. I saw our daughter, she was maybe 2 years old, light brown hair, light brown eyes, very fair skin, she looked like Ryan with his eye color and my hair. She was sitting in between me and R, smiling away as we posed for a family photo. Did I just see our future?

I woke up with R who was still sleeping away peacefully next to me. I am convinced that he and I will be blessed with a sweet, healthy daughter in the near future, and she will be "daddy's girl". Can't wait... In the meantime, I will savor every moment that he and I have with each other.
